To provide clinical responsibility for patients under his/her care when working in the ED or when on-call. This includes direct care of patients and supervision of medical staff.

Share in the training and development of nursing, medical and other staff groups where appropriate. Be actively involved in the management, supervision and training of junior medical staff. Clinical Governance
Take an active role in departmental clinical governance including risk management, risk reporting procedures, audit, and guideline/procedure development/implementation. Service Delivery
Contribute to ED service delivery, including education and training delivery formal and informal. Medical and ACP workforce educational and clinical supervision. Support the Minors Care Stream including clinical supervision of Urgent Care Practitioners. Quality Improvement
Development and application of clinical guidelines and policies. Quality Improvement/ Clinical audit/evidence based practice/research.
