Job Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Unit Manager in Emergency Care. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, experienced and committed leader with excellent communication skills who will inspire their teams through positive role modelling. The role itself is pivotal in supporting the delivery of high quality, patient care that delivers against identified National and local targets whilst continually improving the patients journey and having a positive impact on care delivery. Within this role you will also be an integral part of the wider clinical team which works collaboratively with the PANDA Unit and SDEC. You will support safer staffing duties for the Emergency Village. The role can be high pressured at times and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise your workload is essential. You will be supported by the 2 existing Unit Managers, Lead Nurse and Assistant Director of Nursing. Main Duties of the Job You will demonstrate a passion for improving the patient and relative experience and have a sound clinical knowledge base giving you the ability to support in delivering safe and effective care whilst having a positive impact on care delivery. In addition to this, you will possess well developed communication skills that will be used to engage, inspire and motivate both staff and patients in the clinical area. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with complex situations are essential. You will be a Senior Nurse with extensive experience in Emergency Care and uphold clinical skills that can support the clinical area when required. The working pattern will predominantly be between Monday and Friday but there will be an expectation that evenings, weekends and bank holidays will be supported when required.
