A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Urgent Treatment Centre at PAH for an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.

As part of a multi-professional team, led by the lead Emergency Department Consultant and Lead ENP, you will practice autonomously as an ENP within an acute setting to provide patient-centred quality care.

You will provide assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice within the Urgent Treatment Centre whilst being accountable and self-directed in line with the relevant code of professional conduct.

You will support an efficient and patient-focused service and will ensure safe referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in any area of the Urgent Treatment Centre working with both adults and children.

Main duties of the job

Experience

Essential

Experience working clinically within a UTC environment. Evidence of leading service improvement. Experience of mentorship or supervising and where applicable have course accreditation.

Desirable

Leadership qualification. 5 years post-registration experience.

Qualifications

Essential

Registered healthcare professional e.g. NMC, AHP, GPC. Appropriate undergraduate degree. Advanced Management of Minor Injuries. ILS/ALS.

Desirable

Advanced Management of Minor Illness. Advanced skills in clinical assessment.

Skills

Essential

Proven leadership skills. Clear and accurate written and verbal communication.
