Up to £28,000 (dependent on experience) Full UK Driving License and access to vehicle About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Employability and Digital Skills Tutor to join our team in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will deliver exciting and engaging learning opportunities, focusing on accredited Employability qualifications and Essential Digital Skills. This role supports adult learners (19+) across a range of ability levels (Entry 1 to Level 2) to achieve their personal and professional goals. You will provide high-quality provision, ensuring compliance with academic and funding criteria, while addressing local labour market needs and sector skill gaps. Key Responsibilities Deliver effective and high-quality provision across a range of ability groups (Entry 1 – Level 2) to meet all relevant academic and funding criteria and which enables learners to meet their personal learning goals. Continuously monitor course effectiveness and assess learner development through individual learning plans to inform teaching strategies which ensure learner and programme success. Deliver general advice and guidance with reference to progression, pre-programme information, including specification of programme entry criteria. Produce and/or tailor relevant and motivational teaching materials, undertaking necessary research in order to deliver programmes to fulfil the needs of the learners. Ensure all administrative procedures are kept up to date prior to, during and after the programme (i.e., keeping a register, marking work, monitoring absence, completing funding documentation) to ensure all compliance and quality procedures and funding requirements are met. Attend and contribute to team meetings, standardisation meetings and IQA activity as required. Essential Criteria A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., CTLLS, PTLLS, AET, PGCE). Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths/English, Essential Digital Skills or Digital Functional Skills at Entry 3 to Level 1. Strong knowledge of employability training, vocational skills, and digital skills delivery. Familiarity with the local labour market, sector-specific skill gaps, and training opportunities. Proficiency in IT and the use of digital tools to support learning and administrative tasks. Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English. A results-driven approach with the ability to meet and exceed KPIs. Passionate, dedicated, and ambitious, with a commitment to supporting learners’ success.
