Requirements of the Role: You will be accountable for managing the performance of students and delivery of the qualification, initially and growing each student's experience for successful completion of the programme. You will advise and mentor learners on the embedding and assessment of each programme, as taught in their vocational programmes, and maintain delivery standards equivalent to or higher than a good as per the education inspection framework, striving for outstanding. Deliver high-quality vocational sessions and establish strategies for dealing with poor attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and class performance, as well as keeping registers and other student information as required by funding rules and for statistical purposes. Provide direction and take a leadership role in the implementation of learning outcomes and development, ensuring all learners have the highest possible outcome and all-around experience, in accordance with Pathway Group Values and OFSTED regulations.
Other Duties: Support learners in the development of their practice through standardisation and sharing best practice. Promote a high-performance positive culture where learners are enthused and motivated to perform to their best, through supportive and professional leadership and management. Assess knowledge and understanding through teaching, learning, and assessment. Support learners to develop their behaviours relating to their qualification. Assist in the coordination of learners' exams. Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs. Understand and work on key performance indicators. Be a proactive team player, possessing effective organisational and planning skills, including the ability to manage own diary and caseload. A passion for changing lives through quality teaching. Excellent communication and coaching skills. Be personable and engaging, committed, and professional. Be confident to deliver and support learners with Maths and English Functional Skills when required. Identify individual learner needs, implement, and review SMART targets for their assessment plans. Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines and targets.
Knowledge and Skills: Possess a recognised teaching or training qualification at level 3 or above (hold or be working towards), which could include any of the following: Level 3 or 4 Award in Education and Training, Level 3 PTLLS teaching qualification or equivalent, or Diploma or Certificate in Education. Experience in educational delivery and working knowledge within the training/education sector. Experience of 1:1 based delivery as well as larger group sessions. Commitment to CPD/professional development/safeguarding. GCSE Grade A*-C in English, Maths, and IT or equivalent. Occupational competence in delivering vocational qualifications. An understanding of curriculum design and assessment data. Up-to-date knowledge of the education inspection framework. Desirable: IAG Qualification.
