SALARY: Up to £31,950 depending on experience JOB TYPE: Permanent HOURS: Full Time LOCATION: London and surrounding areas JOB PURPOSE: The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and running one of our new geographical Learner Hubs. This will involve the end-to-end management of the employability skills delivery cycle. The cycle starts with meeting and engaging with potential referral partners and their candidates, identifying suitable learners to enrol onto a range of exciting learning opportunities which are backed by well-known employers. You will then develop and deliver dynamic learning programmes that meet the needs of learners and utilise multiple and diverse teaching and learning strategies. This includes planning and delivering a range of relevant qualifications in a group setting to learners of varying abilities and backgrounds. Once learning delivery is complete you will support the learners to prepare for and attend interviews and on-the-job experiences, before giving them their outcomes and where appropriate helping them prepare to start work. A strong track record of good or better teaching and learning delivery, whilst achieving high levels of student success. Understanding of Ofsted EIF, and ability to support delivery teams to develop towards outstanding. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to engage and inspire adult learners and people who may be long-term NEETs. Ability to work under pressure. Confidence in engaging with referral partners and potential learners. Able to manage the learner journey through ILPs, Group Profiles and other tracking documents. Highly organised and able to manage the full learner programme. Professional, accountable and responsible work ethics. Experience of teaching/training and assessment within a vocational context. Capable of utilising IT applications and interactive training tools. Able to travel across the designated geographical area, ideally by car. Teaching Qualification – PTTLS/DETS/DTLLS/PGCE. Assessment Qualification – TAQA, A1 or equivalent is desirable. Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver consistently good teaching sessions, incorporating an effective range of learning strategies and technologies that enable outstanding learning outcomes. Assess learners’ needs and set robust plans and targets to meet their needs on an individual basis. Achieve outcomes for clients that provide a wide range of benefits including jobs, apprenticeships, qualifications and other progression routes. Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, working with them to raise their ambition and aspiration, ensuring they realise their full potential. Achieve targets for the number of learners successfully enrolled onto learning programmes. Manage data for learners including initial assessment, enrolment, and daily registration and ensure all requests for ALS & support needs are processed efficiently. Manage individual learner targets, always ensuring that learners are being stretched and challenged to ensure their onward progression. Deliver learning programmes flexibly across the provision. Work with the Programme Manager and Lead IQA to continually strive for excellence and improve standards. Contribution to standardisation, team meetings and the Performance Board cycle. Undertake aspects of student assessment including assessment of portfolios and liaison with internal and external verifiers and awarding bodies as required. Support learners to prepare effectively for interviews and on-the-job experiences with a range of employers. Provide learners with feedback and outcomes from employers, and help them identify their next steps following the course. TO APPLY
