The Employability, Innovation and Skills Academy delivers a wide range of short employability courses aimed at helping unemployed people gain the knowledge and skills to progress into long-term employment. We work closely with Job Centre Plus and other partners to run courses tailored to the current labour market. These can range from development of core skills such as CV writing, interview skills, and communication skills to vocational courses such as construction and security that provide practical skills and knowledge to apply for licenses to work in the industry. This role will focus on the delivery of the security courses, enabling learners to gain their SIA license. We are currently looking for a dynamic, organized, and inspirational tutor to support adult learners in gaining their SIA license to seek work in the security industry. You will be required to contribute to the delivery of the Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry course, which is delivered across different locations in southern and eastern England. The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to working, as the role requires significant travel across these regions. What we are looking for
A level 3 teaching qualification Good level of IT skills A level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English Relevant qualifications to deliver door supervision at level 3 (Elite model is preferred, but not essential), including conflict management and physical intervention Competency in delivering door supervision courses Ideally, you should have your own vehicle for travelling If you would like to pop in or have an informal discussion to find out more, please contact Kerry Simm for an informal discussion.
