Employee Relations Specialist

to join

Toyota Manufacturing

based at Burnaston. They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HR professional to join their HR Operations team. The successful applicant must be able to manage their workload effectively as part of a wider collaborative team and have excellent communication and project management skills. Main responsibilities will include: Taking responsibility for Employee Relations within a manufacturing division, working with local management, supervision, union representatives and occupational health. Ownership of case management within that area including disciplinary & grievance procedures. Managing absence and turnover vs. targets to ensure suitable availability to run the production line. Managing complex cases including mental health and issues around medical capability. Improving employee relations in your business area through local manager / works council rep meetings, and group meetings with members to respond to questions and concerns. Improving supervisor capability to handle member issues through pre promotion training, supervisor information sessions, and day to day coaching. Ensuring compliance with changing legislation & developing new policies and procedures. Make improvements to HR processes and practices, implementing these changes through project management. Key requirements: Ability to speak to a wide range of stakeholders at different levels of the business. Working as part of a team to share experience and workload. The ability to multitask and prioritise an ever-changing workload, working to deadlines. Good organisational and time management skills. Experience in HR, particularly Organisation Planning or HR operations. An interest and experience with HR systems, policies and procedures. Enthusiasm to learn about the working practices in a factory and drive to get out onto the floor and get to know people. Use of Microsoft Office programmes including basic knowledge of Excel. Project management skills and ability to manage different cases or projects simultaneously. Benefits: Company pension, healthcare. Paid overtime. Banked time system. Core hours 08:00-16:18, 5 days per week (but some flexibility in start/finish times). WFH policy (max 2 days per week, according to local arrangement). On-site nursery provision.
