Job Description: Employer Engagement Officer This role is based in N17 8JL - please ensure you live within an 8-mile radius of the location. About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Employment Engagement Officer to join our team and contribute to the success of our education programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, have a strong understanding of the labour market, and possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills with proven skills and track record to meet project targets. To identify vacancies and seek employment opportunities in sector jobs and to upskill existing employees with the view to progressing them into better-paying jobs in small businesses and SMEs with better remuneration or seek better-paid jobs elsewhere. As an Employment Engagement Officer, you will play a crucial role in connecting our students with meaningful employment opportunities. Your responsibilities will include: Outreach and Networking: Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers in the ICT sector and related industries. Job Placement: Actively matching students with suitable job opportunities and facilitating the application and interview process. Employer Engagement: Organizing employer workshops, presentations, and networking events to foster partnerships and promote learner employability. Data Management: Tracking student job placements, work experience, and employment outcomes to meet project targets. Program Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of new employment initiatives and programs. Qualifications and Skills Computer studies, business studies bachelor's degree in education, human resources, or a related field desirable. Strong understanding of the ICT sector and associated labour market trends (LMI). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employers and other stakeholders. Proven track record of successful job placement or career counselling. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Additional Desired Skills Experience working with diverse populations. Knowledge of job search strategies and interview techniques. Experience with career assessment tools and resources. A passion for helping learners achieve their career goals.
