Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Personal Assistant to support a Principal Partner within the Employers’ Liability department. The successful candidate must have prior legal secretarial experience, particularly within personal injury, and should be proficient in Microsoft Office. A strong command of English spelling, punctuation, and grammar, along with an audio typing speed of 65+ words per minute, is essential. The PA will be expected to be proactive, using a high degree of self-management and initiative to support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing correspondence and documents through audiotyping and word processing.
• Managing digital filing, including the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
• Organising and dispatching correspondence and enclosures.
• Managing the fee earner’s diary, appointments, and meetings.
• Providing support to other secretaries and the admin team as needed.
• Attending to clients in person and over the phone, ensuring professional and friendly client care.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all client documentation and information.
Requirements:
• Demonstrable legal secretarial experience.
• IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office.
• Strong command of English spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Excellent word processing and audio typing skills (65+ wpm preferred).
• Experience in a Personal Injury or civil litigation law firm is advantageous.
• Experience working with Proclaim case management system is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organisational skills.
