About the Role… As a Disability Employment Services Employment Consultant at APM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our participants (job seekers) to transform their lives. Reporting to the Business Manager at our APM office in Success, WA, you will work closely with stakeholders, including employers and our participants, to deliver tailored employment solutions. Research Integrity Manager , you will be part of the growing Resolutions team in RIG. This team is at the forefront of tackling and managing research integrity cases, primarily in the published literature. Your role is to manage a team of up to 4 skilled research integrity specialists, and your knowledge and experience helps them manage their cases, particularly the very tricky ones. Image integrity and data integrity concerns will be a key part of your job, as well as tackling large cases that involve multiple publications. For this you will deal with stakeholders like other colleagues in RIG, journal teams, colleagues in legal and corporate communications. You are driven to do the right thing, and promote both internally and externally the importance of ensuring the integrity of the published record. As one of the leaders in the Resolutions team, you contribute to our strategic objectives and represent the team both internally, but also at external events. Responsibilities Line manage several Research Integrity Specialists Support all Research Integrity Specialists in the management of their caseloads, providing support, training and guidance in difficult cases. Ensure that all advice provided by the team of Research Integrity Specialists complies with editorial best practice as defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and Springer Nature policies. Provide supervision, guidance and advice for Research Integrity Specialists for cases that require input from the legal and communications departments. Oversee the project management of individual and large cases that are being processed with the Research Integrity Support Team and ensure that cases are driven towards resolution following Standard Operating Procedures and meeting Key Performance Indicators. Continuously review the cooperation between the Resolutions Team and the Research Integrity Support Team and liaise with the Head of Research Integrity, Resolutions to propose and implement improvements. Ensure user-friendly resources are available for in-house staff to assist them in self-resolving integrity issues. Work with all stakeholders (for example, senior management and the communications and legal teams) to resolve complicated integrity issues. Be an expert contributor for training materials on publication ethics for staff and external editors, and run training (in-person or via webinar) on publication ethics. Initiate and contribute to other tasks and projects related to ensuring compliance with ethical policies/guidelines and improving efficiency. Represent SNRIG at external and internal events, and establish positive relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. whistle-blowers). Undertake other tasks as necessary to support Springer Nature’s ambitions in the field of research integrity. Drive your professional development by seeking out training opportunities to further your and the team’s goals and objectives. Experience, skills and qualifications Comparable research integrity experience in publishing Experience with line managing several high performing specialists Educated to at least a graduate level in an academic field Knowledge/experience of the publishing industry, familiarity with the academic publication process A good understanding of publication and research ethics concepts Line management experience Ability to manage a diverse and inclusive team of highly skilled experts in multiple locations Ability to establish effective working relationships with senior and junior stakeholders both internally and externally A high level of computer literacy, including Office applications and Google Workspace Excellent organizational and time management skills Analytical skills Proactive approach to problem-solving in both daily tasks and more complex troubleshooting Strong communication skills (written and oral) Excellent English language skills Dynamism; ability to work well under high pressure and to reprioritise 'on the fly'; willingness to take responsibility for difficult decisions Ability to travel Familiarity with plagiarism detection software (CrossCheck/iThenticate) and image integrity software (Proofig, ImageTwin) Familiarity with copyright law An understanding of libel and defamation concepts Post-graduate research experience At Springer Nature, we’re committed to creating a great working environment which includes the benefits you receive, opportunities for you to develop your skills and ways to get to know your colleagues.
