We act for businesses as well as the people who create, own and invest in them, building long term relationships with our clients to understand the unique challenges and opportunities they face. Our depth of experience and knowledge is focused on providing practical advice designed to meet all our clients’ business needs. We understand how important your case is; our experienced teams are on hand to provide practical and effective legal advice. With one of the largest teams of lawyers in North Yorkshire, we work for wealthy individuals and their families, trusts, and family businesses - your needs are at the heart of what we do. Our Commercial, Residential, and Agricultural Property teams have the expertise to help you deal with the opportunities and challenges of the freehold and leasehold real estate market. We have substantial depth of experience in the property world and its demands, which gives us the crucial ability to help you achieve your aims. Disputes are an unavoidable fact of life, but when they happen, it is essential to find a quick, effective, and practical solution to the situation. Whether your issues are commercial or business-related, family, or personal, we have the depth of experience, imagination, and expertise to help you solve your problems. Our Employment team is ranked band 1 in Chambers UK, and we currently have an exciting opportunity to join this experienced and well-established team. We are ideally looking for candidates from NQ to 4 years PQE, but will consider more experienced applicants. Candidates will preferably have experience working within an employment law team and importantly have the ability to work well as part of a small but specialist team, be able to build and maintain strong client relationships, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be commercially minded. The work that the team is involved in is varied, and candidates will need to be able to deliver a high-quality client service to a wide range of employers and employees across a variety of sectors. Candidates will be involved in supporting clients with their wide-ranging employment law requirements, providing corporate support, and advising on settlement agreements. The team delivers Employment seminars and updates for clients throughout the year, so it is important that, with support, candidates feel comfortable presenting in this type of environment. We hold Investors In People gold status, which is reflected in the continuous learning and promotional opportunities that we offer, alongside providing an open and supporting team working culture. In return for your hard work, we offer a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, and hybrid working is also available.
