Our client, a Local Authority based in South-West England, is currently recruiting for a locum Employment Lawyer to join their team for an initial 3-month contract, with potential extension. The team have capacity for a 37-hour week, and the hourly rate is negotiable subject to PQE. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Handling a mixed caseload of employment law matters, and providing the relevant legal advice to Council Officers Managing a caseload to include compromise agreements, unfair or constructive dismissal, whistle blowing, discrimination, TUPE regulations, contracts of employment, reorganisation/redundancy and conduct and capability cases Representing the Council in regards to internal appeals, Employment Law Tribunals, and appeals against Tribunal decisions Experience required: Qualified status as a Solicitor or Barrister, with current practicing certificate Rewards and Benefits: Fully remote working Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
