Worker Contract, Freelance Purpose and Objectives: Ensuring End Point Assessments are carried out independently and meet NOCN's quality assurance standards. To complete assessments in accordance with the prescribed assessment instruments as defined within the End Point Assessment plan. Duties and Responsibilities: Assessing the apprentice against the relevant Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours via their observation with questioning and professional discussion supported by their portfolio of evidence in accordance with the End Point Assessment plan. Upload reports from the assessments in a timely manner and in line with NOCN's service level agreements. Prepare for assessments in a timely manner and be able to identify gaps in the apprentice's KSBs. Build rapport with apprentices to ensure that they can perform their best within assessments. Maintain hands-on CPD in their subject area to ensure knowledge is up to date. Represent NOCN in a professional manner when conducting assessments. Adhere to GDPR practices and ensure all data is secure. Requirements: Occupational competence - experience within the sector of Highways Maintenance on rural and urban roads, demonstrating up-to-date, relevant, in-depth and broad experience through evidence of CPD. Achieved a Level 2 or above in Highways Maintenance and Repair. Hold a recognised training award or instructional qualification that is suitable to Highways Maintenance and Repair. Competent to assess – must be working towards or have achieved a relevant recognised assessor qualification such as a Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Workplace and continue to practice to that standard. Assessors who hold earlier qualifications (CAVA/TAQA, D32 or D33 or A1) are also acceptable.
