An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Endoscopy Unit at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. We are recruiting staff to increase our service to cover 7 days improving patient access. We are a state-of-the-art JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit and one of the hosts of the North West Training Academy. You will be supported by our dedicated Clinical Educator to become competent in assisting with a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures. Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art unit which opened in January 2018, making us one of the largest Endoscopy Departments in the North West. We’ll be facilitating the latest and most complex procedures in our field, partnering with Trafford General Hospital to commence an Endoscopy Academy for both nurses and doctors, coupled with a satellite teaching facility. With access to 5 procedure rooms, including a fluoroscopy (x-ray) room, our procedures are varied and include diagnostics, therapeutics, and surveillance: gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG insertion, bronchoscopy, EBUS, ERCP/Spyglass, HALO, EUS/FNA, Double Balloon Enteroscopy (DBE), BRAVO, delivering high-quality care to our patients. We also host the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP), offering a range of specialisms to develop your skills and experience. To succeed, you’ll need to be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care with pride and respect, have excellent interpersonal skills, and provide evidence of personal and professional development. Recent acute NHS experience is a must, and we’ll train you in our endoscopy services, supported by our in-house endoscopy educator with access to sought-after bespoke courses to progress your knowledge and experience in this field. First level registration – Registered Nurse Degree or Diploma Teaching Qualification Degree level 6 study Diploma Knowledge
