An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, dedicated Band 5 Endoscopy Nurse to join the team. The post holders will be required to work Trust-wide across all sites if and when required. In the future this post may require weekend working.
Hours are available up to 37.5. The post holder's main base will be at Hexham General Hospital.
The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and have an inclusive team work ethos to shape the creation of a collective team work culture within the Trust.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Endoscopy Unit Managers and Endoscopy Junior Sisters / Charge Nurse, the individual will be responsible for holistic patient care from admission to discharge, provide cross-site cover as required, provide and plan nursing care, and provide effective communication across the multi-disciplinary team. In addition, a contribution to the attainment of JAG Accreditation within the Endoscopy Unit will be expected.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the ward team under the direction of the Ward Manager. To be responsible for the organising and co-ordination of nursing services in the ward/department in the absence of senior staff on a regular basis. 1st Level live NMC registered Nurse. Evidence of qualification to undertake the supervision, teaching and assessing of students (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18 month period).

PP126/7. D32/33. Post Registration qualification in specialty. Diploma/degree in nursing.
