You will support our Compliance Officer in ensuring that SEBL (SmartestEnergy Business Limited) adhere to internal policies, external regulations, and legal standards. Working to identify and resolve/mitigate areas of risk and potential non-compliance, you will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and managing risks. What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

Experience in the energy/utility sector; Interest in Compliance; Holistic vision and end-to-end process awareness. You will support with: Monitoring and Auditing:

from reviewing internal processes and controls to completing in-depth quality reviews. You will have a keen eye for detail, be analytical, fair, and hold a base level knowledge of energy compliance. Risk Assessment:

once areas of risk have been identified and prioritized, you will support in rolling out measures to mitigate these risks. Being able to identify risks and think outside of the box for solutions will be key skills. Policy Development and Roll Out:

assisting in the creation and updating of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current laws and regulations, and consider system changes within the business. Investigations:

assisting in completing investigations into compliance issues, for both internal and external reports. Quality Assurance and Support:

assisting in designing and completing both QA guidance and forms, along with creating a monthly QA report per department. Completing QA and supporting in calibration sessions across all departments. Providing day-to-day operational compliance support for SEBL teams; Providing weekly updates to the Compliance Officer, escalating concerns accordingly; Identifying any compliance risks across the business and any ‘quick wins’ to resolve potential issues; Providing ad-hoc support for any compliance projects; Providing ad-hoc support for any required regulatory submissions.
