Main purpose of job:
To lead a cross-functional team to deliver and lead the sites projects with regards to Energy reduction whilst supporting the Facilities programme.

Main duties:
Manage key performance indicators for site energy (KPI’s and reports).
Utilise energy monitoring and metering equipment for data analysis and reporting.
Promote energy saving activities and projects across the site.
Identify energy saving projects with good case studies for spend justification.
Raise capital expenditure requests for energy saving opportunities.
Continuous improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of energy demand through technical or organisational measures (Process, Plant, System Optimisation).
Initiate awareness and training programmes for employees.
Chair and lead monthly energy meetings with the steering committee.
Process map all key areas of the business to identify improvement opportunities.
Manage opportunities within Government schemes (CCA, ESOS etc.).
Maintain internal Group energy project trackers and dashboards.
Benchmark new/existing energy efficiency measures within Group/Division; explore innovative technologies/processes to enable sustainable solutions.
Take responsibility for education regarding energy management.
Ensure compliance with current legislation in energy law.
Lead internal Energy Reduction aspects.
Compare best practices from the list of projects around the group.
Review latest tech industry opportunities to modernise working methods and equipment for energy saving ideas.
Ensure the site makes significant reductions in energy usage in line with business planning.
Ensure the site achieves its group targets for energy management.

Process policies and procedures to the required quality standards.
Timing:
Report any issues or concerns to their line manager.
Escalate faulty equipment to the appropriate maintenance/facility function.
Train and support direct reports and work colleagues.
Cost:
Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, quality, processes, and cost down opportunities.
Lead the company's CIP scheme.

Specific Skills & Experience:
Ideally qualified ISO50001 Lead Auditor.
Ideally 3 years experience in Energy Management or energy improvement cases.
Engineering and maintenance background would be an advantage.
Experience of Project Management and leading teams.
Candidates must be able to work using their own initiative and lead cross-functional teams at all levels of the business; strong communicator.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Technical understanding of Building Management Systems.
Good computer literacy skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email).
