The Planning, Performance and Involvement Team sits within the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service, overseeing performance management and service planning, communications and tenant involvement, Business Continuity and risk.
Following the introduction of the Regulator of Social Housing in April, the PPIT leads numerous exciting projects. Some of these key projects come under the remit of the Involvement team, which includes the Mystery Shopping Programme that feeds into various boards and the piloting of the Housing Advisory Panels, all established to give tenants and leaseholders the opportunity and various forums to scrutinise and shape the services we deliver. The team plays a pivotal role in leading on key areas and in ensuring that tenants are at the heart of what we do as a Landlord.
To support this work, we are looking to recruit a permanent Engagement and Development Officer for a part-time role of 26 hours per week.
Engagement and Development Officer (EDO)
Our EDOs form a small team, developing and implementing creative ways of engaging tenants in the work of the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service. A key focus for the team is developing community and neighbourhood networks – liaising with the Neighbourhood Teams and others to maximise engagement opportunities for tenants and contribute to the management and delivery of projects, initiatives, and activities around Community Engagement and Governance. A fully inclusive housing service, reflecting the diverse needs of our customers, is crucial. Our EDOs have a role to play in ensuring that all our customers can have their say about our services, that we are accessible, and that we listen to their views, including when things go wrong.
