ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a part-time Engagement Worker to join our Offender Personality Disorder Housing Accommodation Support Service (OPD HASS) to support high-risk individuals in the criminal justice system who are likely to meet the criteria for a personality disorder. You will assist adult males who have recently been released from prison, secure health settings, or are transitioning from Approved Premises. Your role will involve supporting all aspects of key engagement activities, aiding their rehabilitation, reablement, and reintegration into society by providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions.
OPD Pathway: Is jointly commissioned by HMPPS, NHS England, and NHS Improvement. OPD HASS delivers services for people in the criminal justice system who are deemed high risk, and likely to meet criteria for personality disorder. The OPD HASS provision is managed by Penrose. The service offers specialist accommodation to high risk/high need men who require intensive support to overcome barriers to resettlement and progress towards independent living in the community.
Shift Pattern:
17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Face-to-face service with the following shifts: 8:00 to 9:30 (12.5 hours), 1:30 to 9:30 (7.5 hours) and 8:00 to 4:00 (7.5 hours)
Salary:
£26,100 pro rata

Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs What we offer
