Hello, we’re Severn Trent Services, a commercial arm of the Severn Trent Group. We provide water and waste services to companies nationwide, including the MoD and The Coal Authority. Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care. We’re currently recruiting for an Engineer to join our Water Services Contracts Team covering the North/Midlands region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and rapidly growing business and really make a difference at the heart of the operation. You will also have experience on waste and using various technology. If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW The Engineer role is a crucial role that ensures successful project delivery from inception to completion. You will lead on several programmes of work across multiple contracts, including our MOD contract. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop and drive a progressive supply chain by advocating innovation, continuous improvement, and partnering with our Group Commercial department to identify and implement efficiencies. Some of the other accountabilities: Drive a regional programme of asset enhancement and refurbishment across MoD sites, leading improvement work streams for the Water Services Contract UK. Determine appropriate asset investments to enhance performance, asset condition, operational efficiencies, and Health & Safety improvements. Deliver investment projects using suitable contracts to minimize business risk, and proactively drive improvements to clean and wastewater assets based on criticality, condition, and performance. Develop solutions for problems and drive their resolution through contractors and the supply chain, contributing to improved asset standards across the business. Act as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement within the team, driving safety improvement performance within the direct supply chain, and ensuring the safety of employees, customers, the public, and those impacted by operations. Contribute to the development of improved technical standards within the team. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally be a qualified Engineer with a Water and WasteWater bias – however, other disciplines will be considered. As travel is required, you’ll also be expected to hold a full U.K licence. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences, and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU With that in mind, here are just some of our favourite perks that you’ll get being part of the Seven Trent Services family: Annual bonus scheme of up to 15% of your annual salary, based on company performance. 25 days holiday + bank holidays (and the ability to buy/sell up to 5 days per year). Leading pension scheme – we will double your contribution (up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%). Sharesave – the chance to buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted rate. Dedicated training and development with our ‘Academy’. Electric vehicle scheme and retail offers. Family-friendly policies. Two volunteering days per year. WHATS NEXT? We can’t wait to hear from you. Before you apply, you’ll need an updated copy of your CV and about five minutes to spare.
