As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of broadcast equipment used in radio or television broadcasting. This includes audio consoles, video switches, transmitters, and other related systems. You must ensure that all broadcasts are transmitted without interruption to viewers/listeners at home as well as monitor signal strength from remote sites.

What you'll do

React quickly to failure and ensure that you have all the tools, access, and knowledge you need to resolve the issues. Take ownership of issues for the Support department. Ensure that all functional areas within the department communicate effectively on day-to-day operational problems. Work with the Origination and Distribution Support Manager to communicate the day-to-day implementation of department objectives. Ensure that technical solutions are received into the Support Department from Design and Projects groups through collaborative working. Provide timely and accurate reports of current issues and future requirements to the Origination and Distribution Support Manager. What you'll bring

Solid understanding of MPEG/DVB standards. Sound understanding of IT and Networking to understand basic network issues. Understanding of the application of ETSI standard ETR290 towards MPEG/DVB streams using an appropriate analyser. Experience with Encoding and Compression Systems (MPEG2, 4, HEVC). Experience with Java. Knowledge of Splunk. Good at conflict resolution, troubleshooting, and decision-making. Experience with cloud solutions. Team overview
