FEA Tools Development Engineer

you will be: Creating automation processes for developing the FEA understanding to writing scripts to automate the task. Speeding up our development cycle to deliver higher performance to the track in less time. Investigating new simulation tools and guiding the engineers through their implementation. Providing technical support to the Structures Engineers through all stages of analysis. Developing a library of codes for pre- and post-processing tools to improve our FEA analysis capability. Assisting with the development of new analysis tools and improving the efficiency of existing calculation methods. Our ideal candidate is someone who has: Familiarity with FEA analysis of structural components in metals and composites. A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline. Experience in optimisation, fatigue and progressive failure software. Programming skills with Python. Experience of C++ would also be an advantage. An understanding of job queuing systems and management. A basic understanding of computational fluid dynamics. The ability to engage, inspire and support individuals to build and maintain a high-performance team culture. Strong organisational skills with the ability to clearly prioritise tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines. This role is pivotal to the success of our engineering process and will give the successful candidate exposure to the F1 development programme. What can Williams offer?
