You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for delivering world-class cardmember experiences. How will you make an impact in this role? Produce high quality code to develop new features and resolve bugs Write meaningful and extensive tests to demonstrate that our code meets our users’ requirements Ensure that the application is flexible, performant, and able to scale to meet our global users demands Ability to work effectively independently and as part of an agile team to help the team achieve its goals Critically review code as part of our pull request process Deploy applications to test and production environments using CICD tools (i.e. Jenkins and/or Github Hooks) Contribute creatively to the solutioning of new work and be comfortable challenging the decisions and architecture of the application Minimum Qualifications University degree in a related field (i.e., computer science or computer engineering) and/or equivalent industry experience Experience working as part of an agile engineering team and contributing to regular agile ceremonies Hands-on experience in API development Programming, testing, and application design experience with Spring Boot and ReactJS a plus An understanding of cloud + CI/CD technologies, and how to get code into production quickly and reliably Experience working with Microservice architecture and event-based systems Experience working with Git on small to medium sized teams Experience with relational and NoSQL datastores, including PostgreSQL, Couchbase, and Redis Experience designing and developing high performing, high throughput REST APIs Experience working with Kafka Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and GitHub actions Experience with automated build and test frameworks A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working software Experience with container and container orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving/quantitative skills Willing to take risks, experiment, and share fresh perspectives Aptitude for learning and applying programming concepts Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
