What You'll Do In this role, you'll work closely with Senior Engineers, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real-world projects from day one. Your responsibilities include: Project Collaboration: Working within a skilled design team, collaborating with departments, clients, and contractors. Innovative Design: Using 3D CAD (SolidWorks) to design systems, products, and test rigs that drive innovation. Prototype Development: Assisting in production builds, testing, and refining prototypes. Commissioning: Playing a key role in Acceptance Testing and commissioning of final products. Problem-Solving: Researching optimal solutions, estimating costs, and managing project timelines. Standard Compliance: Ensuring all designs meet BS, EN, Machinery Directive, and CE regulations. Documentation: Preparing technical documents and procuring essential parts while keeping a close eye on budgets. Who You Are You're a curious and motivated engineer who loves a challenge and enjoys working with a collaborative team. Here's a snapshot of the skills and experience we're looking for: Qualifications: Degree in engineering (or equivalent). Automation Experience: Experience in automation, product handling, or special-purpose machinery in an industrial setting. CAD Proficiency: Skilled in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar) with a solid grasp of 2D engineering drawings. Electrical Control & PLC Knowledge: Basic understanding of control systems (experience with PLC programming is a plus). Adaptability: Willingness to travel (UK and overseas), with a valid driving licence. Effective Communicator: Comfortable engaging with team members and clients at all levels.
