About the opportunity: Implement CDM/EMS, identifying and mitigating risks in designs. Discharge Designer responsibilities under CDM regulations. Ensure CDM/EMS regulations are integrated into designs and site processes. Address environmental/ecological constraints in development. Develop site designs and provide engineering support during planning/building processes. Manage consultants and coordinate with statutory bodies to resolve engineering issues. Collaborate with the project team for optimal planning and engineering solutions. Lead community engagement for planning applications. Evaluate development opportunities for new site acquisitions. About the benefits and rewards: The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to 40k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits. About the requirements: Extensive experience in engineering within housebuilding (e.g., roads, sewers, foundations, land drainage, utilities). IT/computer literate with proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS, Windes, Microdrainage. Engineering qualification (degree or equivalent), ideally accredited by RICS or ICE. Experience working as part of a successful engineering team. Ability to manage in-house and external civil engineering designs. Strong understanding of technical, regulatory requirements, and geotechnical/environmental reports. Proven track record in technical site appraisals and ground conditions assessment. Knowledge of remediation techniques and foundation design. Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
