We are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to work in our busy manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil. This is a full time, permanent position working 4 on/4 off days and nights - 7am/7pm to 7pm/7am. With a competitive salary. Requirements

Role Purpose In order to ensure uninterrupted production and enhance efficiency while prioritizing safety, you'll actively identify continuous improvement (CI) projects and see them through to their final stages. You'll work on optimizing preventative maintenance schedules and provide training for the CPM shift engineers, either one-on-one or utilizing OEM resources. Your dedication to driving continuous improvement projects and applying CI methodologies to our operations will be unwavering. Role Requirements Supervise and maintain safe operating procedures for visiting contractors. Adhere to Health & Safety rules and regulations diligently. Report any potential hazards or risks to the Health & Safety Manager or responsible person immediately upon discovery. Ensure all PPM schedules are fulfilled and developed using predictive and diagnostic maintenance techniques. Initiate improvement plans proactively and pragmatically. Manage the engineering training budget and oversee all CPM training (both in-house and OEM). Drive and implement Continuous Improvement projects with a self-motivated approach. Compile weekly reports on project progress and provide feedback to the CPM / Engineering management team. Collaborate closely with Operations and the CPM Shift Engineering team to enhance asset performance and streamline process flow in the retail packing hall. Support the Engineering department in reaching its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts. Lead the engineering and operational engagement in root cause analyses (RCA) with documented evidence and long-term solutions. Follow the appropriate accounting and authorization procedures when ordering replacement parts. Uphold and enhance hygiene and housekeeping standards in all areas of the CPM production and Engineering workshop. Assist in emergency breakdown repairs promptly and efficiently across all CPM production equipment, as well as support site engineering issues when necessary. Assist in the installation of new equipment on-site. Provide technical guidance and behavioural coaching to peers, apprentices, and production colleagues on the front line. Stay informed of and comply with all Company policies and procedures. Perform any other duties as required by management that fall within your skill set.
