Grafton Recruitment are delighted to be working with a large global company who are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join their team on a 12 month (potentially longer) contract basis. As an Engineering Project Manager, you will have experience of managing the detailed design of electronic products.


THE ROLE:


Some of your responsibilities as an Engineering Project Manager:

  • Deliver the most complex and high-priority projects on time, on budget and on quality.
  • Drive the design, development and delivery of highly complex electronic subsystems from concept to full production.
  • Manage the safety refresher training process, ensuring that all training is delivered within the required timescales and that records are maintained.
  • Take responsibility for the administration of a defined set of training courses, including mastery of Performance Management, Technical Foundation Programme & Lean Six Sigma (amongst others).
  • Support the apprenticeship programme, including managing internal records and issuing documentation and communications to learners.


THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Engineering Project Manager will have:

  • Project management best practice experience: Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Compliance Management, Configuration Management and Earned Value Management.
  • Experience of delivering significant projects/programmes on time and on budget.
  • Experience of project management through the various phases; from project conception and initiation, through manufacturing and qualification, to customer delivery.
  • A background in engineering development, ideally of complex systems or electronic devices.
  • Individuals with excellent communication skills; able to influence others to change their way of thinking;
  • Organised with an eye for detail and a sense of pride in what they deliver.


For this role, you will need to obtain the national security clearances.
