Job Introduction

Reporting into the Chief Engineer, the Compliance Manager will lead, manage and engage their team to convert departmental objectives into achievable tasks at the execution level.

By setting performance targets and standards to support KPI's, and aligning resources, you will ensure all criteria are met. You will monitor activities to maximize productivity, ensuring all colleagues comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safe, efficient operations. As an advocate for development, you will drive continuous site improvement, and nurture a proactive culture founded on accountability.

Main Responsibility

As a Compliance Manager here at 2 Sisters Scunthorpe, you will: Lead compliance on site, including control of all High Voltage contractors, maintenance of Low Voltage system, control of fixed wire inspection testing and all other electrical compliance requirements. Lead and maintain systems for regulatory compliance of pressure system (PSSR), LOLAR, DSEAR, LEV's, L8, statutory inspections, Legionella, F-Gas, PUWER, Working at height, COSHH, Lead control of permit to work and LOTOTO systems. Liaise with 3rd party authorities to ensure site compliance. Escalate and communicate all issues and risks to SLT and Group Engineering. Highlight training requirements for the site engineering team. Coordinate electrical works for significant projects. Support EMT and process engineers with technical knowledge and guidance. Drive plant standards and availability through controlled and supportive management. Ensure all relevant health and food safety standards are followed.

The Ideal Candidate

As our ideal Electrical Compliance Manager, you will have the following skills:

Essential HNC or above in an engineering discipline. Electrical qualifications due to management of HV/LV. Ability to analyse and report data accurately and effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Previous on the job experience working in an engineering position.

Desired: Apprentice trained. IOSH/NEBOSH trained. Have a knowledge of SIX SIGMA/5S. Previous experience leading a technical team, creating succession and development plans. Leadership qualification e.g relevant ILM Level 3. Project management experience. Understanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques; fix the cause not the symptom. Previous experience within the food industry.
