Home based with travel to nationwide sites. Primary responsibilities: Promoting, performing and enforcing an exemplary Health and Safety culture. Managing all assigned Leisure Energy site-based activities. Motivating workers and maintaining positive and safe work environments. Ensuring that multiple projects are delivered within budget and on time. Ensuring that the predicted energy saving measures are delivered on time and to the required standards. Maintaining an excellent relationship with the company’s clients and suppliers. Problem solving site and operational challenges to remain in programme. Duties: 1. General Contribute to the development of policy and procedures for Leisure Energy, ensuring adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and good practices, especially regarding Health and Safety. Remain up to date and knowledgeable about building services systems of a leisure centre and/or pool environment including mechanical, electrical, pool filtration, and water controls systems. Work with the Construction Director and Project Team to develop a quality management system covering all aspects of the organisation's service delivery. Assist in the implementation of the quality management system and seek ISO 9001 accreditation. Identify the need for support staff in project management and service delivery as the organisation grows. Review applicants' CVs, select candidates for interviews, and assist with conducting interviews as necessary. Induct new employees into the business and provide guidance and training on the organisation's systems, processes, and customer service ethos. 2. Project work Plan and organise works on-site to minimise disruption to the operation of the leisure facility, ensuring outstanding service delivery to customers and end clients. Create a collaborative working environment on-site among all contractors, operatives, and client-side operational staff. Review and understand Leisure Energy feasibility studies and grant applications to compile contractor packs for construction projects. Prepare supporting information for bid applications and feasibility studies; support the Energy Team in securing budget costs and preparing a cost plan. Compile contract documentation including a comprehensive programme of works upon formal project approval. Arrange JCT contracts for the client and back-to-back sub-contracts for contractors as needed. Visit sites to meet with contractors/sub-contractors to agree on the scope of works for energy savings. In conjunction with the Construction Director, appoint all suppliers, consultants, and sub-contractors for energy efficiency measures. Visit sites to ensure progress against the programme and represent Leisure Energy at site meetings as required. Take and distribute meeting minutes when agreed as the company’s responsibility. Discuss the scope of works with the operator and agree on necessary access and plans with operational staff and the centre manager. Identify contract variations impacting the programme and ensure revisions are communicated to all parties. Provide monthly written progress reports on each project to the Construction Director. Arrange for inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and design upon project completion. Ensure all contract information is in place upon handover, including on-site training for staff and provision of operation and maintenance manuals. Produce outturn reports on project costs against budget. Act on behalf of Leisure Energy as the principal contractor under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Fulfil the role of Project Manager within the NEC or JCT Contract for each contractor. 3. Financial Management of the projects Maintain and update a project costings sheet monthly for accurate invoicing and payments. Report on forecast profitability to the Construction Director using the costings sheet. Prepare supporting information for cashflow purposes. Assist clients with financial information for funded projects.
