OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS Job Security - highly successful business Monday - Friday role (requirements for flexibility on weekends/evening working depending on projects) Competitive Salary Excellent Benefits THE CONTROLS & AUTOMATION ENGINEER Role and Responsibilities: To be responsible for the driving of improved performance in all areas using enhanced controls and the latest automation. To execute process and control improvements and prioritize all work in line with plant needs and production availability. To complete regular backups of control systems and routine maintenance of systems, and to ensure this is recorded appropriately. To ensure that Health and Safety and Quality procedures are followed, ensuring that standards are maintained i.e., work in a tidy, clean, safe, structured and professional manner. To comply with all Corporate, Health and Safety and Environmental rules, standards and legislation ATEX, COSHH, etc. To be active in supporting the achievement of corporate strategies and departmental targets (TPM, LEAN). THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

will need to have a background in the food or FMCG manufacturing industries. You will also have: A degree in electrical engineering or related discipline or advanced training with a minimum of 5 years' experience. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a control's technician or engineer, preferably in an automation environment. Good technical & experienced hands-on ability relating to automation hardware and software. Be able to provide technical expertise and input into reliability issues for factory systems: PLC, HMI, VFD, servo-motion control, etc. to maximize plant efficiency and reliability. A good understanding of PLC control system architecture and field control devices. A good understanding of DC motor controls. Online code monitoring, modification and development with any PLC platform; Siemens TIA Portal & Simatic Manager Preferred.
