NCT are established in their field for more than 40 years, making retailers household products. NCT main site is just outside Grantham and Ellesmere Port has joined the 'family'. We are looking for an Engineering Coordinator to order and maintain a balance of stock and replacement of critical parts as required in liaison with the Department Manager and assist in scheduling of Work Orders via the CMM system. Responsibilities Control and maintain the Engineering Stores areas and stock and ordering parts Receive new parts into stock and put away in correct locations. Carry out regular stocktakes. Implementation and operation of the inventory control section of the CMMS (Agility) Produce a Preferred Suppliers List for spares and negotiate the most cost-effective prices with external suppliers in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager Generate expenditure reports for the department, in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager Set up and administration of user accounts. Generate PPM checklists, schedules and other documentation as directed. Generate reports including expenditure, PPM completion rates, and machinery downtime. Support with coordinating schedules and planned work on machinery. Assist in work order scheduling of the team. Assist in the administering of contracts and contractors, including the completion of Permits to Work. Monitor site utilities including taking of meter readings. Requirements Experienced engineer having worked in a manufacturing environment The role will involve the movement of engineering stock, so you need to be able to manually lift. The role involves sometimes working at a desk and some time out in the stores/factory Great attention to detail Proactive, positive, enthusiastic - demonstrates a “can do” attitude Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all times.
