Who We Look For Goldman Sachs Engineers are innovators and problem-solvers, building solutions in risk management, big data, mobile and more. Responsibilities: An exciting opportunity for a UI engineer for a UI product to be used by a large userbase. Experience with modern Javascript frameworks like React (and proficient with HTML5, CSS, REST APIs, JSON). Experience with automated UI testing with testing frameworks like Cypress. A keen interest in UX and UI-design. Ability to debug UI related issues and performance test with tools like Lighthouse. Excellent communication required to work in collaboration with clients and sponsors. An interest and understanding of SDLC workflows and engineering best practices (and ideally with experience with tools like Backstage). Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards. Research and evaluate new technologies and software solutions to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Contribute to software architecture and design decisions. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 4+ years of experience in industry with a specific interest/specialty in SDLC and building high quality, well tested UIs. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
