Adecco has an exciting role for an Engineering Estimator to join our manufacturing client who serves clients worldwide.

Your role will be to maximize growth for the company by promoting a fully integrated supply offering and creating manufacturing opportunities through leveraging early project engagement through the distribution business. You will prepare and review complex quotations for demanding customers in the Oil & Gas and other target industries.

You will be required to work from customer drawings and specifications to compile a cost and technically compliant competitive bid. As the key point of contact for your nominated accounts, you will also be responsible for continuing to build positive and proactive working relationships between the company and the customers.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve customer relationships by conveying the needs and expectations to the relevant areas within the business, ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained. Support diversification activities into new customers and markets. Submit quotations in a timely manner ensuring that the customer's RFQ requirements have been fully complied with and that any exceptions/caveats have been fully identified in the responding quotation. Liaise with internal departments across multiple sites to ensure effective bid construction. Support the Sales Manager in monitoring and developing an efficient and effective Sales & Commercial Department to deliver accurate and timely bids. Monitor performance of accounts through the use of key metrics to provide drive and direction. Conduct thorough Technical Contract Reviews of Customer Purchase Orders against original quotations ensuring any differences are resolved and documented prior to release. Negotiate new and ongoing contracts with customers. Set an example for team members of commitment to all activities, work ethics, and positive company representation. Exhibit confident presentation skills, professionalism, interpersonal skills, time management, and attention to detail in all aspects of role execution, both internal and customer-facing.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to build customer intimate relationships. Strong negotiation and customer service skills. Interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work calmly and professionally under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey requirements internally and externally. Demonstrable experience of management and accountability for teams or projects.
