This client is a leader in system integration involving digital transformation and industrial automation across a range of industries. They have modern offices close to key transport links in Portsmouth.

This Client is keen to invest in training and developing a relevant Graduate (or equivalent) and have designed a Program where you will spend a couple of years working across a number of teams, through rotational placements, learning workshops and close mentorship. This two-year programme will provide you with access to a wealth of industry knowledge, applied practical experiences and the opportunity to shape your skills as a freshly qualified engineer.

The programme is designed to last two years, with four modules per year. The modules will cover four areas: Software Design & Test Commissioning Control Panel Design & Building Commercial/ Project Management

Over Two Years you will:

Learn current software standards, methods, and practices. Engage with and understand project delivery timelines and budgets, and ensure these factors are carefully considered as you develop your skills in delivering industrial control system projects. Learn to prepare and review control system design, build and testing specifications and O&M manuals to required standard. Learn to develop key areas of control system software to meet the needs of the project. Learn to design and test in accordance with agreed specifications, applicable standards, and legislative requirements. Learn onsite commissioning and testing of control systems while adhering to site regulations. Complete practical assignments and projects to apply learned skills.

You will ultimately be controlling factories, writing software that controls processes.

Please Note:

In all modules, time may be spent on customer sites and therefore, flexibility to travel is essential.

The Successful Applicant Ideally you will be Graduating in summer 2025, although applications from 2024 Graduates (or equivalent) will be considered.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. An interest in control systems and automation. Excellent problem-solver and a proactive mindset. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. PLC programming experience in any brand highly advantageous.

Additionally:

You need to be available for a face-to-face interview/Grad Recruitment day - End February. You will ideally be available to commence in September 2025. You will live closely to Portsmouth or be happy to relocate.

All respondents to this position must be eligible to live and work in the UK for a minimum of five years without the need for sponsorship.

What's on Offer A Salary of circa £29,000 - £31,000

Plus membership of a Graduate Program where you will be encouraged to spend a couple of years working across a number of teams, through rotational placements, learning workshops and close mentorship, this two-year programme.
