FM is a leading property insurer of the world's largest businesses, providing more than one-third of FORTUNE 1000-size companies with engineering-based risk management and property insurance solutions. FM helps clients maintain continuity in their business operations by drawing upon state-of-the-art loss-prevention engineering and research; risk management skills and support services; tailored risk transfer capabilities; and superior financial strength. Our London Operations team are currently looking for an intern to join the Engineering Department in Maidenhead for either a 3 month or 12 month placement next Summer (2025). This position will be office based when not at a client’s location.

As well as getting an in-depth understanding of the work of our Risk Engineering Consultants, this role involves supporting our office-based engineering team with the application of loss prevention concepts, accompanying our Field Engineering team on site visits, and carrying out various engineering projects. The work also involves a focus on the analysis of associated automatic fire protection systems to ensure that designs are in accordance with FM’s Property Loss Prevention Standards.
