Engineering Internship – Paid

We are in the process of reinventing the smart home by developing and innovating new ways to operate and maintain a home. Resideo is already a market leader in many smart home devices including thermostats, security systems, leak detectors, and cameras, among other product categories. This internship will dovetail with our innovation team and lead the harnessing of the creative knowledge within Resideo to launch the next generation of smart home solutions. We will work with you to ensure your success. The ideal candidate is one who can think creatively and innovatively, who is not afraid to try new techniques, and one who is self-motivated. JOB DUTIES: Identify bottlenecks and pain points of engineers to support their needs looking internally for technical information Collect data on current search inefficiencies as a baseline Engage with necessary SMEs to propose and implement solutions to optimize cost savings and improve processes for engineers finding technical information Collect and review data on how implemented solutions have improved from baseline Improve processes for better cross-functional collaboration towards making Resideo a next generation, innovative company Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner YOU MUST HAVE: Currently enrolled in a technical discipline, such as Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Proficient communication skills, teamwork, and proactivity WE VALUE: Creativity, self-motivation, and discipline Software development skills and the ability to code in multiple languages Understanding various product and service life cycles Diverse and global teaming and collaboration Can quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage competing priorities Expertise with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Relevant internship/professional experience a plus WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: The opportunity to gain professional experience and mentorship with an innovative leader within the Smart Home Automation sector Successful interns can/will be considered for fulltime employment in Resideo!
