As an Apprentice Production Technician at Itel Electronics, you will gain hands-on experience in a specialised production environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn the skills necessary to manufacture, assemble, and inspect/test cable harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies whilst gaining your Level 3 qualification. Based on an hourly rate of £7.80 per hour. Training course: Engineering technician (level 3). Hours: Monday to Friday shifts TBA. 37 hours a week. Duration: 4 years. Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you’ll do at work

Your responsibilities will include: Assist in the setup and operation of equipment for cable harness and electro-mechanical assembly production. Participate in structured training programs to learn essential production techniques and procedures. Manufacture assemblies using a range of tools in accordance with IPC-620 acceptance standards. Assist in the assembly, soldering, wiring, and testing of electronic components and systems. Perform visual inspection and electrical testing on a range of assemblies in accordance with industry standards. Maintain accurate records of production activities, test results, and quality checks. Identify and resolve issues with cable harness and electro-mechanical assemblies. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards. Where you’ll work

Engineering technician Level 3 (A level) Apprenticeship Standard: All apprentices will be required to achieve as a minimum: Level 2 Foundation competence qualification (Practical units broad-based skills). Level 3 Development Competence qualification (Practical work-based units). Level 3 Development technical knowledge qualification (Theory-based units broad-based knowledge). Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this prior to taking EPA. End Point Assessment:

Portfolio Based Occupational Competence Interview (Viva). A nominated professional Institution (PEI) undertakes the independent assessment to determine if the apprentice has met the EngTech requirements as defined by the UK-SPEC. What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
