Job Title: Engineering & Maintenance Manager
H9 Technical Recruitment are hiring for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to work at our clients EfW plant in Croydon. The role is responsible for managing and coordinating the maintenance function, including a team of multi-skilled technicians, ensuring maximum plant availability with minimal downtime. Role and Responsibilities:
Managing and directing a team of mechanical, electrical and C&I technicians to ensure minimum plant downtime and maximum availability. Planning and executing plant shutdowns/outages. Managing the department's maintenance budget. Overseeing the management of the maintenance schedule. Developing and maintaining records of plant maintenance, including work orders, PPMs, and planned and unplanned outages and inspections. Overseeing on-site contractors. Deputising for the Plant Manager when required. Education and Experience:
HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally mechanical. Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/engineering in a relevant heavy process industry, ideally power generation but also including industries such as chemical production, aggregate or similar. Practical understanding of boilers, steam generation, pressure parts and associated equipment. Experience with managing a team/department budget. Experience in a management or supervisory level role. IOSH or NEBOSH would be preferred.
