Engineering Manager opportunity, overseeing a group of aggregate quarries Family feel environment in a large international company About Our Client My client is a well-known business who manage a group of aggregate quarries that have been in operation for generations. They have sites across Yorkshire, with a headquarters near Wakefield and are looking for an Engineering Manager to manage the new equipment investment that will bring the engineering capability into the new age. Job Description To manage the engineering functions of the quarries business for all plant machinery, including direct employees and contractors. To ensure upgrade works, preventative and planned maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards. Ensuring that all operations take place with a health and safety mindset. Carrying out daily/weekly/monthly inspections and reporting defects as required. Align maintenance plans to achieve KPIs and market demand, planning major projects and capital investments around plant needs. Providing leadership, coaching, training and development to all employees within the engineering department. The Successful Applicant The successful Engineering Manager will have: Experience in the maintenance and repair of quarrying plant equipment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations. Familiarity of CDM regulations would be desirable. Electrical knowledge would be advantageous. What's on Offer An estimated salary of £55-65k, inclusive of a car allowance.
