The Role We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our talented engineering team and drive the delivery of custom-built equipment projects. What You'll Be Doing: Driving Culture Change: Lead initiatives to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engineering team. Leading Bespoke Projects: Manage the design, development, and delivery of custom capital equipment tailored to meet client specifications and industry standards. Inspiring Teams: Mentor and develop a team of skilled engineers, building a supportive and high-performing work environment. Ensuring Commercial Success: Align engineering decisions with commercial objectives, considering cost-effectiveness, market needs, and profitability. Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and sales teams to align engineering efforts with broader business goals. Enhancing Processes: Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness. Providing Expertise: Resolve technical challenges and offer guidance to team members and stakeholders. Ensuring Compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards. Managing Budgets and Resources: Assist in budget planning and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective and timely project delivery. What We're Looking For: Leadership Expertise: A proven track record in leading teams and driving cultural change in an engineering environment. Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of business and market dynamics, ensuring engineering efforts align with profitability and customer needs. Technical Know-How: Extensive experience in engineering, including bespoke equipment design and manufacturing processes. Project Management Skills: Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies to keep projects on track. Strong Communication: Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teams and stakeholders. Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with engineering software and design tools (e.g., CAD, PLM systems).
