Monday to Friday (Days) On-call for engineers (phone support) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a small engineering team, ensuring the smooth running of plant and equipment while prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency. The role involves managing engineers, overseeing statutory inspections, and working closely with the engineering manager in Cullompton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is happy to lead by example and get their hands dirty when needed. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including statutory inspections such as LOLA, LEVS, and pressure boiler checks. People Leadership:

Lead and develop a team of four engineers, ensuring continuous improvement and team engagement. Maintenance Management:

Oversee the maintenance and reliability of plant and equipment, ensuring effective and efficient operation. On-site Support:

Provide hands-on engineering support when needed and ensure all inspections are completed on time. Collaboration:

Work closely with the engineering manager in Cullompton to share best practices and ensure alignment on operations. Key Requirements: Mechanical or electrical engineering background with previous hands-on engineering experience. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, ideally in FMCG, heavy industry, or manufacturing sectors. NVQ or equivalent qualification in engineering; leadership and management qualification is a plus. Ability to lead by example, motivating and developing your team. Experience with statutory inspections and ensuring compliance with regulations. Willingness to be hands-on and proactive in supporting the team. Additional Information: On-site Hire Car Support from another engineering manager based at another site for the initial starting period to ensure a smooth transition. Interview Process:
