Benefits Package: £50,000 - £60,000 Excellent Pension Strong training and development scheme Brilliant benefits package Multiple sites globally - extremely stable company Role & Responsibilities: The role is not a hands-on position; the sole purpose is to develop the engineers and grow and improve the maintenance department. Develop plans and sustainable countermeasures to remove root causes of both minor stops, breakdowns, and component failures from process equipment. Drive improvement solutions from start to completion. Lead the technical element of preventive maintenance and provide support where required. Effectively communicate with all members of the operations team, including engineering, production, safety, and quality teams. Input into engineering maintenance strategy to eradicate breakdowns. Lead improvement activities to enhance production efficiency and reduce cost, waste, and engineering inefficiencies, supporting operators and CI team to complete kaizens as required. Utilize lean and manufacturing tools and techniques. Ensure improvements are sustainable, share knowledge with all team members, and update engineering standards and maintenance. Understand principles and parameters of equipment, be able to describe and analyze loss phenomena, and plan to eliminate these losses. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship and applied mechanical and electrical skills in their current (or recent) role. Experience leading a team and making improvements across engineering/maintenance departments. Background - very open as long as you have worked in an engineering function. Ideally Mechanical and Electrical Multiskilled. Qualified to ONC/HND and NVQ3 or equivalent. Basic/Advanced PLC skills, broad knowledge and experience of electro-mechanical equipment, maintenance, and principles. If you are interested in this position, please click 'apply'.
