We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager/Director to build and lead a new engineering department. This role involves overseeing all engineering activities, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, outstanding leadership skills, and a strategic approach to drive innovation and achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the engineering department. Define the department’s goals, structure, and processes to ensure effective operation and alignment with company objectives. Collaborate with senior management to secure resources, budget, and support for the department. Team Leadership and Development:

Recruit, hire, and onboard a talented team of engineers. Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development opportunities for the engineering team. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Implement best practices for project management, including Agile methodologies.

Technical Strategy and Innovation:

Develop and maintain a technical roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic goals. Drive innovation and stay ahead of industry trends to ensure the company’s products and solutions are cutting-edge. Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance productivity and quality.

Process Improvement:

Establish and optimize engineering processes, methodologies, and standards. Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure high standards of engineering excellence. Continuously assess and improve operational efficiencies within the engineering department.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other departments to align engineering efforts with overall company goals. Serve as a liaison between the engineering department and senior management, providing regular updates and insights. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven ability to establish and lead an engineering department or team. Strong technical background with expertise in Manufacturing, more specifically Contract Manufacturing and PCBA. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
