My client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop our multi-discipline engineering team, including the drafting function. In this key role, you will be responsible for resource planning, performance management, and continuously improving their engineering processes and capabilities. Key Responsibilities: – Implement and maintain robust engineering processes to ensure design integrity at all stages – Oversee engineering work planning, progress monitoring, and change management – Act as a technical expert and point of contact for clients, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities – Coach, mentor, and develop the engineering team to foster a culture of excellence – Manage project engineering hours and budgets to support sales, projects, and client needs – Participate in lessons learned reviews and apply continuous improvements Requirements: – Degree in an applicable engineering discipline – Proven experience managing and leading an engineering team – Detailed knowledge of company products, systems, and relevant industry standards – Understanding of ISO 9000 requirements as they relate to engineering processes – Proficiency with engineering design software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MathCAD – Excellent communication, planning, and administrative skills – Desirable: Chartered Engineer status, experience in multiple engineering disciplines, knowledge of FEA and project management tools This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly reputable organisation and make a significant impact on their engineering capabilities.
