As an Engineering Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you will be embedded into the SSBN Projects in Clyde. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with the submarine engineering team in developing solutions to engineering challenges. Help to derive the maintenance requirements and support acceptance throughout the project lifecycle Answer and support technical queries emerging from the projects Own risk and mitigating actions either by yourself or by reaching back to Subject Matter Experts Provide project assurance through technical and gate reviews This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3-4 days in the office/onsite and 1-2 days working from home. Essential Experience of the Engineering Manager:
Experience in aspects of production and project delivery or submarine engineering Be familiar with project and risk management techniques Able to manage a complex workload with challenging deadlines Ability to work well with small teams as well as wider groups of stakeholders, fostering teamwork and collaboration Qualifications for the Engineering Manager:
Level 6 qualification in Engineering Chartered Engineer Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
