A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a Manchester based organisation who provide a wide range of services to the defence sector including; design, manufacture, MRO and test of safety critical electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical components. As Engineering Manager, you will have responsibility for the engineering function and will be technical authority for all engineering based projects. Role Overview: This role will provide technical leadership in all aspects of project management, ensuring that engineering projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the high standards that clients expect. You will be responsible for managing engineering resources, planning capacity, mentoring the team, solving complex problems and being the interface between engineering and other key departments. Lead all engineering projects from inception to successful completion Act as Technical Authority ensuring each stage of project receives adequate challenge, review and signature Oversee the day to day activities of the engineering team, ensuring efficient resource utilisation and the successful delivery of engineering and project objectives Strategically plan short and long-term workload, balancing priorities to meet operational and project deadlines Coach and mentor the engineering team building a culture of high performance, accountability Quickly provide effective solutions to engineering challenges ensuring minimal disruption to operations Maintain close liaison with Operations and Sales teams to align engineering activities with overall business goals Act as the primary engineering contact for customers ensuring requirements are fully understood and delivered Skills and Experience Required: Degree or equivalent in

Electrical / Electronics Engineering Experience of

Engineering Management or Technical Management
