Our client, a family-led business since the late 1880s, is recognized as one of the UK's leading sawmilling companies. They are currently looking for a full-time Engineering Supervisor to join their team based within the Nairn area.
We encourage applicants with a solid grounding in Industrial Mechanical Engineering and a strong Health & Safety work ethic. The role involves shift work, including weekend working (1 in 3).
The role of Engineering Supervisor requires proven experience in leadership and strong people management of engineers.
As the Engineering Supervisor, you will be expected to achieve maximum production, safety, and minimize downtime through effective engineering day shift cover for breakdowns and planned back shift cover on planned preventative maintenance routines.

The ability to work safely within time deadlines in a fast-paced production environment, with a solid grounding in industrial engineering desirable. Building a high-performing engineering department that is individually and collectively responsible for contributing to agreed standards of performance and targets. Providing guidance, training, and mentoring to all engineers. Creating a way of working that revolves around knowledge sharing and collaboration with key sawmill operators, as well as fellow engineers. Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have a solid educational background, with a degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent. They will have experience leading a team of engineers.
