45 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with flexibility for occasional weekend management) About the Role

We're seeking a Engineering Manager to drive excellence and innovation in a thriving manufacturing setting. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will manage a skilled engineering team, oversee critical projects, and ensure preventative and routine maintenance meets the highest industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact, optimising processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are upheld. Key Responsibilities

Lead and innovate:

Deliver engineering projects that align with business goals and future strategies. Manage projects:

Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Collaborate effectively:

Liaise with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and food safety standards. Risk management:

Identify potential challenges and implement strategies to ensure smooth project execution. Support product development:

Provide technical expertise from concept through to product launch. Champion improvement:

Drive initiatives to enhance capacity, efficiency, and sustainability. Prioritise safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fostering a clean and secure working environment. What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a passionate, results-driven professional with a knack for problem-solving and leadership. You will bring: A qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering. Experience in a similar leadership role within manufacturing. Expertise in steam systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, process control, pumps, drives, valves, and instrumentation. Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects. Excellent IT, communication, and problem-solving skills. Eligibility to work in the UK. Desirable but not essential: Familiarity with BRC food safety standards and a strong understanding of health and safety requirements. Interested?
