Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for Engineering Managers of all levels with a background in the nuclear sector to be engaged on a long-term contract basis in the North West of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Lead the engineering team in the design, development, and deployment of assigned scopes for the plant project. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Digital Design Interface: Oversee the integration and utilisation of the digital design interface in the engineering processes. Ensure that the digital design tools are up-to-date and meet the project's requirements. Collaborate with IT and design teams to optimise the digital interface for seamless project execution. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams to foster innovation and ensure the highest quality of work. Conduct regular team meetings to review project status and address any challenges. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Special Projects: Manage and oversee other special projects, as assigned. Ensure that all special projects align with the company's strategic goals and are executed efficiently. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and partners to ensure the successful execution of the project. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all engineering processes and designs adhere to industry standards and regulations. Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the reliability and safety of the plant. Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical or chemical Engineering. Chartered Engineer preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Proficiency with digital design tools and software. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
